Kaylie Young Prentice
Color Guard Instructor / Fine Arts Secretary
Kaylie Young Prentice (better known as Mrs. KK) is a color guard coach/ choreographer and music educator from and currently residing in Lubbock, Texas. Upon completion of her Bachelor in Music Education degree at Wayland Baptist University in Plainview, Texas (2014), she moved to central Texas to pursue a Masters of Music in Music Theory at Texas State University (2018) in San Marcos, Texas.
Mrs. KK has served many roles in her career as an educator, most recently as the Director of Elementary Music and Band at Loop ISD. In her spare time, she has been serving as adjunct professor of music theory for Wayland Baptist University and color guard director and/ or choreographer for 10 schools in West Texas, primarily in the AA-AAAA classifications.
You may also find Mrs. KK curled up with her latest read, curating her fragrance collection, at the local metal music show supporting her husband, Aaron, or spending hours giving cuddles and snugs to her dog Kevin and cat Allegro. She is also the proud aunt of 2 beautiful nieces and 1 goofy nephew.
